I've always wanted to be able to collect sticks from the forest or from wood piles and be able to turn it into usable boards. I've tried it in the past with a carving knife, a debarking tool, and a table saw, but it has been difficult and the results i was going to say were not great, but they were actually pretty impressive sometimes, whittling off bark and putting a nice finish on a stick or large branch can be nice, and i might do it more and write about it here, but it was just not an efficient way of doing it, and it doesn't have the potential to give you large numbers of 2x4's like you could get from home depot.
Recently though, I have been looking into using bandsaws. I have a small bandsaw now, and it seems to work. I have researched some accessories that could make it even better. When i post here I'm thinking one post Will be pictures and the other will be accessories or methods I have found out about.
I'm aware of small portable saw mills and planers and stuff like that too, but I'm mostly going to focus on bandsaws for now.
These guys are all so old, but i won't be if the immortality project works.
